This month’s webinar will feature Equinor, joined by Ørsted, who will provide a closer look at the CO₂ Storage Kalundborg project, developed by Equinor, Ørsted and Nordsøfonden.
One of four awarded onshore CCS licences in Denmark, the project aims to verify the suitability of the Havnsø reservoir for the safe, long-term geological storage of CO₂ through a 3D seismic programme and exploration well.
The 3D seismic survey was completed in summer 2025, and Denmark’s first onshore CCS exploration well was successfully completed on 1 July 2026. The project also includes a terminal expansion in Kalundborg and an approximately 25 km pipeline, with FID targeted for 2027-28 and start-up anticipated around 2032.
